Tropicana Motor Inn, Cowes has adopted the following policies

Tropicana Motor Inn, Cowes has adopted the following policies, terms, and conditions to assist us in providing you with our best service. We respectfully request that you adhere to these during & after your stay.


Arrival and Departure:

Check –in time is from 2pm, check out time is prior to 10am. Early check – in requests will be catered to depending on availability. Please contact reception staff for further information.


Office Hours:

Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm (may close earlier if no vacancies) Arrival outside these hours is by arrangement only.


Children:

we welcome children of all ages.


Additional Guests:

Unless otherwise specified rates quoted are based on amount of people occupying room (but only up to the maximum occupancy of the room). There is an additional charge for any extra guests above what you were quoted for.


Accepted Methods of Payment:

We accept cash, Eftpos, Visa, MasterCard, American Express (surcharge applicable).


Reservations Guarantee:

To guarantee your reservation you will be asked for you credit card number. Incidental charges must be paid for at time they are incurred. Provision of credit card details is the authority to debit any payment owing.

Payment will be charged once your booking is within the cancellation policy. A 10% deposit may be charged at the time of booking. Debit/Credit card surcharge of 0.68% applicable on all transactions.


Cancellations:

Outside Premium Periods:
Minimum 72 Hours. Full payment due 72 hours prior to arrival date. 72 hours or less, no refund.

Premium Periods:
Months of December and January, Long weekends, Public holidays, Victoria School Holidays, Easter, Superbikes, Events/ Festivals- Cancellation policy is 7 days. Full payment due 7 days prior to arrival date. 7 days or less, no refund.

Moto GP:
Cancellation policy is 30 days. Full payment due 30 days prior to arrival date. 30 days or less, no refund.

For guests travelling from all other states of Australia (excluding Victoria), or from overseas:
Credits and refunds are not possible for cancellations during the usual non-refundable period. These guests are encouraged to take out appropriate, comprehensive travel insurance.


Shortened stay:

After check-in should you shorten your stay, you will be charged full booking amount.


Group Bookings:

All group bookings require an email along with a credit card to confirm the booking. The cancellation period will vary according to the type of booking and time of year, check with reception staff for details.


Rates and Minimum Length of Stay Requirements:

Our rates vary by number of guests and during periods of high demand or major events we may apply a surcharge or impose a minimum length of stay period, you will be advised by our reception staff if this applies.


Smoking:

Smoking is not permitted in the room. An additional fee of $250 will be charged if found smoking in the room. If rooms are left excessively dirty, an additional fee of $250 will be charged. Lost key will incur a $100 fee.


Onsite Parking:

1 (one) space per room is available, please discuss any vehicle requirements you may have when making your booking to ensure we can accommodate your vehicle.


Noise:

For the comfort of other guests, we have strict no noise policy after 10 pm.


No Party Policy:

This policy is designed to ensure that all our guests can enjoy their time with us and not be inconvenienced through noise and action of others. Any guest failing to comply with this may be asked to leave without refund.

A $50 fee will be charged if furniture is moved around in the room upon check-out inspection.


Video Surveillance:

Our car park is fitted with security cameras, to assist us in keeping the motel grounds as safe as we can but no responsibility is taken for goods left in your car.


Local Taxes:

All guests are subject to Goods and Services Tax of 10% which is included in any or ancillary prices quoted.


Gratuities & Service Charges:

Tips and gratuities to our team members are at the guest’s discretion and we do not apply any compulsory service charges. There will be a charge of 250AUD for any damages and in case of key loss, 100AUD will be charged.


Special Assistance:

We aim to do our best to accommodate guests with a disability. We have limited wheelchair access to rooms. Most common areas of the motel are accessible by wheelchair. Should you require special assistance, please discuss when booking so we can assess you will be comfortable, and we can accommodate you.


Communication & Privacy:

Please bring pool/beach towels.

Your personal information will be recorded and used by only authorized persons who are required to keep your information private. We will never use retained information for any other purpose nor provide it to any other party without your prior permission, except where legally obliged to.


Unit style and Room Number:

Management can change unit styles or cancel reservations should unforeseen circumstances prevent the nominated unit style being available.
